friday we had a playdate at lisa's with alex and ben.
saturday i got to go shopping at sam's all by myself and treated myself to some pretty flowers.
today our neighbor friend came over. she is always so sweet to ella. here they are painting each other's nails.
everyday, but especially this week these three people and their families have been in my prayers. the strength they have shown through their struggles is so amazing. here is a little bit about them. please check out their blogs, and keep them in your thoughts too.

lizzie was diagnosed with a rare liver tumor called hepatblastoma on April 1, 2002. it has since spread to her bones. during the past 4 years she has had 6 surgeries, radiation to her hip, spine and left arm, dozens of chemotherapy protocals and countless scans.
gabby ---
lost her sister to anorexia just a few months ago. her family is raising money for anorexia awareness by selling shirts through cafe press and organizing a memorial run in alex's honor.
and it didn't hurt as much as i thought it would. phew!!! :D now we're just keeping our fingers crosed that it stays that way!
to a version. :P the baby is still breech so i get to go in friday morning to try to get it to flip. i'm doing everything i can to get it to flip on it's own in the mean time. any advice is welcome! i've been laying at a 45 degree angle quite a bit tonight. i've tried shining a flashlight at it. and i've tried putting cold things on it's head so it shrinks away and heads down. lol! that one seemed a little crazy but it made it move the most so far! we'll be playing music for it later. there is a chiropractic technique that sounds interesting, but i don't think i'll have time for an appt. now. i just hope something works!!!
i usually don't post my lo's here, but i managed to do 2 in one day. yay! i haven't done that much scrapping in a long time! both pages are digital --- i've been doing that a lot more lately. i was inspired for the first page by kim kesti's color challenge at scrapsupply.com. check out this fun site to find your color according to your birthday --- colorstrology.com. my color is chamois, which happens to be the color of my bedspread! so on my page i snapped a picture of my bedspread and cut out the flowers for the page. here are the rest of the supplies:

i needed a new desktop picture for my computer since the one i had was from valentine's day. eek! so i used some of the pictures i took from yesterday. the girls have been playing together so well this weekend! i figured i had better document that! lol! i used the font sp purkage by kelly purkey downloaded from scrapsupply.com and the 2 peas free pea kit.
....at the melting pot last night!!! little did i know that it was a baby party too! what a surprise! i can't believe i made it through without crying! the endorphins from the chocolate must have given me a boost. ;) i'm sooo blessed to have such thoughtful friends!!! the gifts were all so beautiful!!! and just getting to spend the night out to dinner with them was such a gift to me! they are so hilarious, fun, talented and inspiring!!! we were having so much fun that they practically had to kick us out! :D here are a few pictures.
i took some pictures of the girls helping kurt paint my new bench yesterday. i took some pictures in auto and some in manual mode. and i'm proud to say that the ones i took in manual mode look a little better than the ones in auto! (in my very humble opinion, anyway) yay!!!!! the white balance on auto seemed a little off and i think it was a little overexposed. i probably should have backed up to get kurt and anna more in focus too, but i was pleased with the lighting. i have A LOT more to learn, but that's ok because it's SO much fun!
the first one was taken in manual and the second on in auto. i haven't edited them at all except to resize. please ignore our dirty car! ;)
my mom has had the same haircut for almost 20 years. so i was pretty surprised today when she said she was finally ready to get it cut. i almost ran her over to garbo's before she could change her mind! i think she looks great! it will be easier for her to style, cooler for the summer and it makes her look younger! the first picture is the before (from my brother's wedding) and the rest are the afters.
i debated and debated between the digital rebel and the 20d, but everyone finally convinced me that if i got the rebel i could buy more cool lenses. :) so here are my first few pictures with my uncooperative subjects.
think it's a boy or a girl? or an alien??? it looks a lot like it's uncle charley. ;)
